Pink Delight!

Last Friday our entire school supported the anti-bullying cause by dressing up in pink.

Although some of the boys were rather reluctant wearing pink I think everyone looked great and enjoyed the day.

Check Room Hoiho below looking absolutely fabulous, if not a little 'crazy' in one photo!

Saane's Writing Success

Saane was incredibly proud of her version of Laura's Star which we have doing for Storytelling she just had to show it off to the camera.  This story was engaging and entertaining.

Sudyladder Success in Room Hoiho

More Studyladder success in Room 3.  These wonderful children in the photo below have earned new certificates for all their hard work on Studyladder.  Keep up the wonderful effort!

Library Opening... AT LAST!

Earlier last week our new school library was officially opened. It was certainly a roller coaster process but we got there in the end!

David Elliot who is a well-known children's author and illustrator was our special visitor to officially open the library.  Mr Elliot was a former pupil of Netherby School years ago.

Also former long serving Netherby School staff members Mrs Tew (teacher) and Mrs Hunt (office administrator) assisted in our celebrations.

Can I say the most amazing chocolate cake made by Rayan's (Room 2) mum was consumed to complete our opening ceremony festivities.

Lulu showing off her number knowledge!!

Everyone in Room 3 is so proud of Lulu being able to write her numbers up to 10.  This was done with no prompting given or any support.  She choose to do this completely on her own.

Woo hoo!  Lulu you are a superstar!

Look at Room Hoiho showing great examples of NETHERBY PRIDE!

This is a lovely example of how Room Hoiho strive to achieve their best during a lesson.  Look at the concentration and diligence.  Miss Bishop is so proud of them and the support she gets from the lovely Andrena and Linda.

Goodbye Our Awesome Teacher Aide Maureen

One of our wonderful teacher aides Maureen left Netherby School after spending many years guiding and supporting a lot of our children.

Good luck Maureen for your new adventure ahead.  Hope you've got a good torch!!

On behalf of Room 3, especially Kelsie and myself thank you for everything.  A great wing woman,  listener and overall just a great person.  We hoped you loved your flowers.😀😍

While most of Room 3 were taking part in the Hakatere Festival Mrs Stevens from Room 6 invited the remaining children from Room 3 to join ...
